Used in the traditional Ethiopian stew known as wat, wet’, wot, (add that to your Scrabble vocabulary) and prepared with chicken, beef or lamb, plus a variety of vegetables. To speak like a true Ethiopian, berbere is pronounced behr-behr-EE and tastes “yee tahf tahl!” (delicious).
